Bristol World Atlas

The Bristol World Atlas interaction took place at the Bristol Artist Book Event BABE at the Arnolfini, Bristol on the weekend of the 30th April/1st may 2011. Over 500 vistiors participated in helping to draw a world atlas from memory. Each participant was given a blank page which included a place name and asked to draw a map of that place from memory or make up information if they knew nothing about the place. The drawings were pinned on a gallery wall before being collated into a 2 volumn book housed in old atlas covers. Everyone was given a Bristol World Atlas badge and the books have been donated to the Arnolfini Reading Room for all to access.
